Specifications

• Primary kiosk sign structures will not exceed (12) feet above grade.

• Community kiosk sign structures will not exceed (8) feet above grade. Neighborhood kiosk sign structures shall not exceed (4) feet above grade. Sign structures will be constructed in accordance with the specifications per attached drawing.Kiosk sign installations shall include breakaway design features as depicted in Texas Department of Transportation’s Sign Mounting Details For Roadside Signs.


• The name and official logo of the city shall be prominently displayed on both sides of the identification panel at the top of each kiosk sign.


• The color of all kiosk sign structures and sign panels shall be determined by the city. All structures shall be of a uniform design. Sign panels will only contain the name of a public facility, subdivision, neighborhood builder or developer along with an appropriate directional arrow. Price information will be prohibited.


• Kiosk signs will not be illuminated.


• Kiosk signs shall not interfere with the use of sidewalks, walkways, bike and hiking trails nor obstruct the visibility of motorists, pedestrians or traffic control signs. Kiosk signs shall not be installed in the immediate vicinity of street intersections and shall comply with the requirements of the twenty-five foot visibility triangle or other visibility easements.


• Individual sign panels on the Primary and Community kiosk sign structures shall not exceed 42.5 inches in width by 10 inches in height. Individual sign panels on Neighborhood kiosk sign structures shall not exceed 24.5 inches in width by 12 inches in height.


• Contractor will provide at no cost to the city, the equivalent of up to 20% of all permitted sign panel space to the city for use as directional signage to municipal facilities, locations or events. If no space is available, a new sign will be provided for the city’s use at a location designated by the city.


o Kiosk signs will be located at lease 100’ apart from each other.
